How can i make my ps3 compatible with ps2/ps1 games?

can i have it sent with people who know how to program it to be compatible?

  1. only Fat PS3s with 4USB can play PS2 & PS1 games and Slims only play PS1 games, don’t think there is a way around that.

  2. i know its possible on PSP, im not sure about ps3 unless its homebrew. i know you can buy ps1/2 games in sonys store though.

  3. It is not possible, people who say they will get it “programmed” will probably steal it.

    It WAS possible, but sony just had to remove backwards compatibility.

  4. Put simply no. There is no point in sending it to someone that can ‘programme’ it because it’s not a software/firmware flaw it’s the hardware that you need. You will need to have a PS2 Drive the old Red Ray that your stereo drive is made off (I think). Only the older PS3’s have PS2 Compatibility. Although all PS3’s support PS1 compatibilty.
