my xbox 360 has a red ring over the whole circle, not the three dots how do i fix this?

  1. This is the error for BAD A/V CONNECTION, make sure all the cables on the back of the console are all the way in on both ends. Turn the console off check cables turn, on, this should solve your problem, don’t freak out this is a common error.

  2. There’s lots of solution video’s on youtube type in the red ring of death).

I’ve had that it’s called the red ring of death you can rap a couple of towels around it (while it’s on) and leave it for about 30-40 min after that take the towels off and let it cool down for about 10 min and then it should work for a couple of days to a week.

But then it kept happening to me so I sent mine to Microsoft for free and they fixed it for me.

  3. just plug your a/v cord all the way into the back of your xbox and make sure its in the dvd/tv also.

if not its a bad connection internally and may need microsofts attention. lets hope for your warranty eh?

  4. 4 red lights looks bad. but it’s not.

It simply means that your A/V cable is not plugged in all the way into the back of the system. Turn it off, unplug and replug the A/V cable, and fire it up.

That’s all you need to do.

When you get 2 or 3 red rings, then you have problems.

  5. make sure that your cord that goes to your tv is plugged in and isnt loose that happens to me when my cords are loose.

  6. You’ll Probley Have To Send It In To The Company!! My Boyfriend Had That Happen And He Had To Send It In.

  7. I agree it is a a/v cable connection problem.red ring of death hardware failure is only 2 or 3 of the red lights
