Plug a PC into an Xbox One?

So t’s been confirmed that you can plug your Xbox 360 into your Xbox one though HDMI In Input and PC Computers by Major Nelson.

So what I was wondering is. By pluging your PC into your Xbox one would the Xbox 1’s Hardware be powering up the Game or the Actual PC.

That way I Could buy a cheap laptop with no video Card and plug it into my Xbox One essentially acting as an External HD.

My theory is yes: They said the reason you’d want to plug in your 360 to your Xbone is to take advantage of the Xbone User Interface (UI) which means it’s hardware will be running! So pluging in your 360 is really just pluging an external HD that plays 360 games. I mean what do you guys think?

I’d love to buy a cheap Mac book air and play PC games through my Xbone 1.

It has? Got a link because I regularly read Joystiq and they’ve had no mention of this.

Furthermore, what would the purpose of this?

The HDMI port on the 360 is for outputting video and audio data only. It has no input capabilities. So, no, the Xbox One will not be able to access the Xbox 360’s hardware through the HDMI port.

The same goes for the HDMI ports on PCs. They are only for output – not input.

Now then, the Xbox One does have a HDMI input.but it’s for CABLE BOXES not the 360 or PCs. Even then, the Xbox One has an IR blaster so it can send commands to your cable box so that when you say “Xbox Play ESPN”, the Xbox One can tell your cable box to turn to whatever channel ESPN is.

The only possible reason I could see doing this would be that your TV only has 1 HDMI port, and this way, the Xbox One can simply acting as a throughput – much how people used to connect their game console to their VCR because their TV only had 1 AV input.
