My ps3 internet suddenly stopped, how do I fix it?

About a month ago my ps3 was working fine, then the internet just stopped working? I’ve tried so many things, I’ve restarted the modem and the console, I’ve tried different IP addressess and still nothing. It just gives me these error codes.

80710723 (When I let it find IP automatically)

80710102 (When I enter it manually, it says it’s a DNS error)

Please help me!

  1. Are you going wireless? Re-enter your encryption code and such if that is the case. If not or if that didn’t work, go onto your computer and press start>control panel>network and internet connections>network connections>disable LAN>re-enable it>and enable your connection to the world. This will restart it and should work.

  2. Send them to them.

If you have receipts and warranty it will be cost free (I think)

If you don’t, you will have to pay 150 dollars.

    It is the PS3.

They will send a new one, or a refurbished one.

Yeah, your DNS can’t read IP addresses or something.

Just send it back, you will have a new/refurbished PS3.

    Which rocks!

My PS3 is fudged up as well.

I just use my PS2, till I get mine back. (PS3)

  3. Contact your service provider. They will walk you through how to allow the ps3 and what ports to open to use it. If not then they may have to enable something from their end.

  4. I have had this problem as well with my playstation 3. Every time I had this problem, it was a conflict between the modem and my internet connection. I called the company that I have the internet through and they walked me through the process of fixing it. It doesnt take that long but you might have to explain the situation a few times to different people until they forward you to the right person. I hope this helps a little bit.

    Best of Luck,

    Ian
