One more ps3 question for kozzm() about the surround sound?

ive been playing with the av scarts (by the way i should have said its just a crappy receiver with no optical or hdmi inputs) and although i only have 2 leads leading from the av-s cable (r/w) whenever i put one in the corresponding speaker, subwoofer etc. socket, it works, even if i put one in the subwoofer and l speaker for example. dose this just mean that i have to get an av-s lead with 3 red and white ends to it so that i can put a lead in each socket for the 5 speakers and subwoofer (and is there such a thing), thanks.

  1. do not plug in the PS3 directly to the speakers without a receiver/amplifier. This will just push your PS3 to the limit and may damage your motherboard esp if your speakers have high wattage capacity.

Without the receiver, you rPS3 will have to supply the power to the speakers. But with amplifiers, these amplifiers are designed to power up the speakers.

Plug it to the receiver. You can get a surround effect (5.1), if your receiver has Pro-Logic II or virtual surround function.
