Xbox 360 Controller Not Syncing?

Ok so I have an Xbox 360.

And one of my xbox 360 controllers will not sync.

My xbox 360 is black in color so I don’t know if it is different from the others since the ones I have seen are white.

It’s not the batteries and is not the Xbox.

The other controller syncs but the 2nd one doesn’t and I want to use it to play multiplayer.

Do you know what the problem is and/or how to fix it?

  1. I’m not entirely sure if the original Xbox 360 would be the same as the Slim version, however I have the Slim, and this is what you have to do on it.

There is a little button on the front of the controller, which you use to first join a new controller to your Xbox. There is another button (on the front of the Slim, I’m not so sure for you) which you must also push. For me, the lights around the power button on the controller and the Xbox flash after you’ve pushed the connection buttons. The buttons basically just tell the Xbox to look for a new controller, and the controller to look for the Xbox.

Hope this helps in some way. Good luck.

  2. If you look on the front of your controller, there should be a little button to push (around the batter). Push the little button when the system and controller are on, and it should sync up.

  3. theres 2 buttons, one on the xbox, one on the controller, press and hold both until they both start blinking at the same time,. thats if youve never used an xbox before.
