Konami Classics Vol.2 review. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Konami Classics Vol.2 for XBox Live Arcade.

I know! Let’s throw three more XBLA games on a disc so they can take up physical space instead of just floating about on the XBLA ether. How about Track & Field? It’s Konami Classics, so there’s gotta be Track & Field. (Even though the XBLA version can’t really be broken open with the ol’ ruler trick.) Regular, Contra? Sure, why not, even if it’ll just increase the number of profanities shouted at televisions around the country. C’mon, one more to round out the… what’s that? Rush’n Attack? Sure, methinks the political climate has cooled down enough in the wake of the fall of the Iron Curtain.

This video review features video gameplay footage of Konami Classics V.1 for XBox 360 and audio commentary from Classic Game Room’s TJ.

  1. No wonder, same thing Midway and Acclaim. the only company that ws actually good from the west is Rare, but we don't have it no more. Not even Ubisoft or Codemasters meet the creative standards of the west.

  2. Honestly the best companies will always be: Konami, Capcom, SCE, Nintendo, SNK, Namco, Tecmo… I don't care about: Microsoft, Activision, 2K Games, THQ, EA, Bethesda, Rockstar…

  3. This is a great compilation of games, but the d-pad on the XBOX 360's controller just stinks for games like this. I hope that Microsoft addresses this issue in the XBOX 720's controller; whatever that will look like.
