Part 1 of 3,
Classic Game Room HD reviews Halo 3 ODST for Xbox 360. The city of New Mombosa is under attack by the Covenant and your team of highly trained ODST (orbital drop shock troopers) is sent in to take care of business but something goes wrong… In a storytelling style reminiscent of Akira Kurosawa’s film, Rashomon, Halo 3 ODST takes some chances with the first person shooter style and succeeds with awesome storytelling of a mediocre storyline. Gameplay is traditional Halo, shoot, explode, hit enemies and drive trucks around in circles until they blow up. This CGR review of Halo 3 ODST has gameplay from the Xbox 360 shooter Halo 3 ODST showing FPS shooter game play in action during the campaign and multiplayer versions of Halo 3 ODST for Xbox 360. ODST has achievement points for Xbox 360 and you unlock Halo 3 ODST achievement by shooting things and completing the game, basic stuff like that. The game has a great musical track and stylish environments. While ODST is missing Master Chief, you play as the Rookie and several other characters to tell the story of Halo 3 ODST.

  1. Hearing the haunting soundtrack of ODST and just mindlessly wandering the empty, ruined streets of New Mombassa gives me a series of emotions I can't possibly hope to describe

  2. never understood the hype behind the halo series. blend character design, unsetisfying combat, generic level design. but cedits where credits do; fun mp and great melee combat for a fps.

  3. My all time favorite game OST, so atmospheric and moody. #2 is RE Umbrella Chronicles

  4. This was also my favorite halo. I think its soundtrack is entirely underrated compared to how much praise the other halo games get

  5. ODST & Reach are my favourite Halo games (closely followed by #1). I much prefer to hear the stories of other characters in the Halo universe, not just the story of Master Chief. Both of these games also have their own individual charm rather than simply being the next in the series, a series which i love nevertheless 🙂 A lot of people seem to dislike ODST & Reach, not that it affects my opinion of either (and certainly not the reason i prefer them), but could someone enlighten me as to why?

  6. Bought this game based on this review, really glad I did! Best Halo campaign on the 360 by far, and Ive played them all.

  7. I loved the atmosphere to this game & to top it off, it's some of Marty's best compositions imo.

  8. read here for proof that nobody can have a decent and civil argument on youtube these days.

  9. Lol this man thinks the story is overrated. Well i guess everyone's got an opinion. Sry buddy gotta disagree with ya here.
