Does one of the grandfathers of shooters still have some ammo in his gun? Not quite a HD remake, but still an interesting title!

  1. This game took me about 3 months to complete (including the DLC), that damn Smithsonian Museum level took around 2 hours to complete cause I was LOST!!! Still had alot of fun though, never played a Duke game before this.

  2. There seems to be a misconception with a few that this is the Xbox Live Arcade port of Duke Nukem 3D but it isn't! That one does not have any of the 3 expansion packs that the Megaton Edition offers. XBLA version only has the original 3 episodes plus the Atomic episode. PS3 version has this game in it's entirety and 3 expansions. Duke it out in DC being my personal favorite.

Controls are fine, don't listen to the whiners who spend 5 days a week playing call of duty and Halo. I bought this game and I have no complaints here.

  3. Most players here don't know, but the developers of Megaton Edition are SO lazy and the PS3 version is physical proof of that statement. Anyone who is curious to see what I mean, look up "Duke Nukem 3D Xbox Live Arcade" and you'll understand. This game is a complete copy and paste of the XBLA edition, with the Megaton paint job. It's kinda like taking a painting, writing your name on it, and calling it yours. Plus, needless to say because it was already mentioned in this video, the multiplayer is GARBAGE on both PC and PlayStation versions! Instead of the developers fixing it, they'd rather work on the controller support on PC… This is General Arcade for you guys.

  4. I was really enjoying this game until it started crashing. Certain levels are a nightmare and the lagoon level in the last episode I cant get past because it keeps crashing at the same part (the part where the ceiling comes down in a trap). The worst part about it is they are very vicious crashes. Most games like Fallout 3 when the crash you restart the console and thats it, but with Duke you get a warning message telling you your system could be corrupt and it has to do a full file restore. If this was a retail game I would be asking for my money back but I cant because its digital. It crashed 4 times in a row at the same part.

Someone seriously needs to talk to the developers and get them to fix this as the port is completely broken. The PS3 version anyway. I am fucking scared to play it any more until I know its been patched incase it ruins my PS3. Deleted the game and reinstalled it and its still crashing at the same point. Such a shame, I actually thought this port was too good to be true…

  5. Weird. I played a multiplayer game last night of this. Had no problems except for some lag spikes once in a while.

  6. I already got this collection on my Steam account and it's great man. Personally Duke: Nuclear Winter was terrible. I prefer DNF over that any day of the week. I like Doom 3 BFG Edition slightly more but both are worth picking up.

  7. For free on Playstation Plus. I'll take that. I prefer playing shooters with keyboard and mouse though.

  8. Really enjoying this game. I put countless hours into it as a kid, and plan on doing so again with this version.

  9. Great review. i saw this video linked on gamefaqs. I'm enjoying the game but i find myself getting lost alot and not knowing where to go next because theres no map.
